MISSISSIPPI POULTRY FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIPS
AWARD: $4,000
The Mississippi Poultry Foundation awards four scholarships to students who are either pursuing careers in the poultry industry or to those whose families are members of the Mississippi Poultry Association.
FIRST FINANCIAL SCHOLARSHIPS
AWARD: $1,000, $500
First Financial Bank (FFB) awards two scholarships to junior students pursuing degrees in poultry science with the intent to pursue careers in the poultry industry. These FFB scholarships are awarded annually.
FIRST SOUTH FARM CREDIT SCHOLARSHIPS
AWARD: $1,000
First South Farm Credit (FSFC) awards two scholarships to rising junior or rising senior students pursuing degrees in poultry science with the intent to pursue careers in the poultry industry.
MISSISSIPPI POULTRY FOUNDATION ENDOWMENT
The MPF Board of Trustees created an endowment through the Miss. State University Foundation. Recipients are chosen each year by faculty within the MSU Poultry Science Department. The recipients are announced each April.
INTERNATIONAL PAPER SCHOLARSHIP
International Paper makes a $5,000 donation to the Mississippi Poultry Foundation for scholarships for graduate students working on research projects of importance to the poultry industry. The MPA Board of Directors chooses the projects that promise the most benefit to solve problems the industry is facing. The recipients are announced in the summer.
BANKPLUS TRAVEL GRANT
BankPlus donates $2,500 per year to the Mississippi Poultry Foundation for a travel grant for Mississippi State University graduate students to attend the Poultry Science Association convention to present research. The recipients are announced in the summer.
SOUTHERN AGCREDIT
Southern Ag Credit donates $1,500 per year for a scholarship awarded by the Mississippi Poultry Foundation. The scholarship is a travel grant for Mississippi State University graduate students to present research results at the International Poultry Scientific Forum held in January or February during the International Production and Processing Exposition in Atlanta. The funds are awarded in December.
COLLEGE OF VETERINARY MEDICINE POULTRY RESEARCH AND DIAGNOSTIC LAB TRAVEL GRANT
The Foundation Board of Trustees provides $1,500 annually for a travel grant for graduate veterinarians working at the Poultry Research and Diagnostic Lab to present papers at professional conferences. The grant is made in the spring.
